William H. Newman is an American litigator and a partner at Oberheiden, P.C. He is based in New York, but represents clients in matters throughout the United States.

His practice focuses primarily on complex dispute resolution and white collar criminal defense. In addition to representing clients in all stages of litigation, he has extensive experience issuing and responding to subpoenas, trying cases, examining witnesses, litigating appeals, and in enforcing judgments against uncooperative defendants. Many of his matters involve employment disputes, products liability claims, and contract issues.

He formerly practiced law at the New York offices of White & Case LLP, Becker Glynn Muffly Chassin & Hosinski LLP, and Fleischman Bonner & Rocco LLP. He received his A.B. from Brown University and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law. He is an associate editor of the American Bar Association publication, Litigation News and the author of the commercial litigation blog, Unpredictable.
