Ned Beale is an English solicitor specialising in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.  Ned is a partner in the London office of Hausfeld & Co LLP, a leading UK, US and EU law firm specialising solely in complex commercial and competition disputes.    

Ned has extensive experience dealing with contractual claims, including claims arising out of Covid-19 and Brexit disruption, shareholder disputes, post-M&A claims, aviation matters (including acting for airlines and lessors) and disputes in the manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors.  

Ned regularly appears in international arbitration as counsel, advocate and arbitrator, including before ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and ad hoc tribunals. He is a Fellow (FCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the LCIA.  He regularly advises on the enforcement of arbitral awards and court judgments, and related conflict of law issues.   

Ned was formerly president of AIJA’s Litigation Commission.  He has been recommended by the legal directories for many years.  He was named the UK’s Litigator of the Year by Legal Week at their 2019 Litigation & Arbitration Awards for his work in the UK Supreme Court and in international arbitration.
