Martin Foerster is founding partner and head of the real estate and construction practice group at Pitkowitz & Partners in Vienna, Austria. He has worked extensively in this area for more than 20 years, advising clients on all legal aspects of the real estate industry.

He graduated in law in Vienna, and he holds a post-graduate degree in International Business Law from the London School of Economics (with merits) as well as a PhD from the University of Vienna (with distinction).

Martin is admitted to the Vienna Bar Association since 2005, and is, among others, member of ACSC – Austrian Council of Shopping Centers, AIJA – International Association of Young Lawyers where he was president of the Real Estate Commission from 2016 to 2019, and IMMQU – Association for the Promotion of Quality in the Real Estate Industry. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the renowned Wiener Cottage Verein in 2022.

In addition to numerous publications, he is co-author of the Handbook of Real Estate Transactions (2012, 2014) and the Handbook of Landlord and Tenant Law (2022). Martin frequently speaks at specialist seminars on real estate topics. He held a teaching position at the Real Estate Department of the University for Applied Sciences for Management and Communication in Vienna for 10 years.

Martin is a native German speaker and speaks fluently English.
