Carolijn Kuipers is a Dutch lawyer specializing in real estate law. She studied law at the University of Amsterdam (LL.M 2006) and has successfully completed a second master’s in Real Estate at Columbia Law School in New York, graduating cum laude (LL.M 2011).

Carolijn is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar Association since 2006. Carolijn worked with a large law firm for 10 years before becoming a partner at //DVLP advocaten, a real estate boutique law firm in Amsterdam.

She has a broad track record in sale and purchase transactions of real estate. She possesses specialist knowledge of the hospitality sector. Carolijn has a lot of experience with assisting (international) clients with their asset management work. She assists her clients with issues regarding green leases and sustainability (i.a. BREEAM/LEED certification, solar panels).

Carolijn’s knowledge of property law is wide ranging, particularly where this concerns commercial agreements (purchase, rental and collaboration contracts). She has been closely involved in the development and exploitation of prominent office locations, hotels and with (international) contracts for offices, retail and distribution centers.

Carolijn is supervisor at Stichting Wetwinkel Amsterdam (legal aid). She is also an editor of the real estate journal Rechtspraak Vastgoedrecht. She is an active member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).

Carolijn is a native Dutch speaker and fluent in English.
