Árpád Geréd is an internationally active lawyer and founding partner of Viennese business law firm MGLP Rechtsanwälte. Before, he was partner at a renowned law firm in Vienna and in-house-counsel to a leading international ICT-enterprise.

With a passion for everything related to information technology, Árpád has specialized in the consultation in and negotiating of technology-related deals, including the employment related aspects such as transfer or secondment of employees and negotiations with works councils. In his area of work, he has a strong focus on cloud computing, cybersecurity and data protection. Árpád combines technological know-how with legal expertise, allowing him to communicate likewise with business- and IT-decision-makers, a skill which his clients value highly.

Árpád regularly speaks on technology-related topics, such as theft of data, electronical surveillance of employees, cloud computing contracts and the interplay between cybersecurity and data protection both in Austria and abroad. He is also (co-)author of many leading publications these topics. Furthermore, he is an accredited auditor to the StarAudit, specialized on Software as a Service, auditor to Ö-Cloud, a seal of quality for cloud services supported by the Austrian government, accredited privacy expert (CIPP/E), lecturer in the master programme “Cloud Computing Engineering” at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland.
