Dr. Alexandre Malan mainly advises and litigates, before Courts and in international arbitration in particular but not only in distribution law, insurance, transport and industrial risk.

He has a PhD in Private International Law (Doctorat en Droit International) and was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2000, after several years of experience in a firm of Advocates at the French Supreme Court (Avocats à la Cour de Cassation). He holds a master’s degree in Business Law and a master’s degree in International Law (Panthéon-Assas, Paris II University). He is registered at the Paris Bar as a specialist in European and International Law.

He is a partner and founding member of Belot Malan & Associés, in Paris, where he assists major companies and institutions, but also for middle-sized companies in different fields of activity, in the industry and services, in particular the food industry, aeronautics, insurance. He has considerable international experience, in particular for clients of Northern Europe, Russia and the Baltic States, Africa and the Middle East.

Alexandre authored many publications on international contracts and international dispute resolution, and he is also a lecturer in international arbitration and civil international procedure at the Paris XII University.

He is an active member in numerous associations and institutions, such as the French committee of the ICC (arbitration committee), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the IBA (insurance committee).

Alexandre’s mother tongue is French. He is fluent in English, and speaks well Spanish and Russian.
