Elina Girne

Elina Girne is an Attorney at Law based in Latvia, specializing in IT, corporate governance, contracts and compliance.

She began her legal career in 2003 at a top-tier regional law firm, where she spent ten years advising international clients and cross-border businesses. Later, in her own legal practice, she continued to support international business clients with complex legal needs.

For the most recent decade she served as Head of Legal, Governance and Compliance for Europe at an international IT company, gaining extensive expertise in the technology sector and in managing complex legal and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions. This experience allows her to combine deep legal knowledge with a strong understanding of business operations in international environments. Now, having returned to private practice, Elina brings to her clients a uniquely broad perspective that integrates legal precision with business insight.

She holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Latvia, complemented by active participation in international professional networks such as the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), Legalmondo and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC).
