David Salgado Areias is a Portuguese lawyer, partner of the law firm Areias Advogados, a Portuguese law firm with offices at Chaves and Lisbon, currently focusing on startup and tech companies, providing them with the specific legal approach they need.

His practice is mainly focused on tax and corporate law, assisting both domestic and foreign companies in Portugal.

David graduated in Law from the University of Lisbon in 2006 and is registered as a lawyer with the Portuguese Bar Association since 2009. He has also completed Postgraduate Studies in Finance and Taxation at the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto, in 2008 and an MA in Finance and Taxation at the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto, in 2010.

He is a member of AIJA – International Association of Young Lawyers, AFP – Portuguese Tax Association and ANJAP – Portuguese Association of Young Lawyers.

He speaks fluently Portuguese, Spanish, English and French.
