Farid Kani

Farid Kani is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales and as an attorney with the Iranian Central Bar Association. He is a Partner at Atieh Associates, a Chambers-ranked Tier 1 Iran-focused business law firm, where he advises multinational and domestic clients on complex cross-border transactions, corporate and commercial matters, and dispute resolution.

Farid specialises in corporate and M&A transactions, commercial contracting, joint ventures, corporate governance, and international dispute resolution. He has extensive experience advising clients across a range of sectors, including life sciences and healthcare, technology, fintech, FMCG, energy, and other regulated and innovation-driven industries. His practice frequently involves multi-jurisdictional matters and collaboration with leading international law firms.

Farid received his LL.B. from Allameh Tabataba’i University. He holds a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law from Shahid Beheshti University and a second Master’s degree in Public International Law from the University of Tehran. He additionally completed an LL.M. in International Business Law at Queen Mary University of London and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Commercialisation at Nottingham Trent University.

Alongside his private practice, Farid serves as General Counsel to a UK-based charity, where he advises on governance, regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and organisational risk management. He also regularly advises charities and non-profit organisations on a broad range of legal and compliance matters.

Farid is fluent in Persian and English, has working knowledge of Arabic, and is currently studying German.
