Silvio Cilia is a Maltese lawyer specialised in international tax law, corporate law, estate planning and immigration.
Silvio was awarded a doctorate in law from the University of Malta and an LL.M from the renowned Leiden International Tax Centre in the Netherlands. He also holds a diploma in trust law and administration.
His experience includes advising international corporate clients on Maltese and international tax law as well as Value Added Tax and Customs law relative to international business involving goods and services, banking and financial services, internet gaming, intellectual property, yachting and aviation. His professional experience also includes advising and assisting corporate and high-net-worth clients on relocating to Malta as well as the structuring of Maltese trading and holding companies, funds, trusts and foundations.
Silvio is a member of the Maltese Bar since 2003 and a founding partner at Corrieri Cilia Legal, an international tax, business and private client law firm based in Malta.
Silvio is the national representative for Malta of the International Young Lawyers Association (AIJA) and is also an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and The International Fiscal Association (IFA).
Silvio is a native Maltese and English speaker and is fluent in Italian. He also has a good knowledge of French and Spanish.
