Riccardo Berti is an Italian civil lawyer. 

During his professional experience, he has developed in-depth skills in the field of IT law and data protectionand has also been appointed as Data Protection Officer by various entities. 

After graduating from the University of Trento, he studied in China and holds LLM in Chinese law from the Beijing Foreign Studies University. 

He has been admitted to the Verona Bar in 2013 and since then has been a lawyer at Zumerle Law Firm. In 2015 he co-founded Agrilegal, a legal consultancy firm in the agri-food sector. 

He is the author of numerous publications on Chinese lawIT law and data protection, including: 

“Data protection law: A comparison of the latest legal developments in China and European Union” (2020 – European Journal of Privacy Law & Technologies) 

“Food Traceability in China” (2018 – Lexxion Publisher)  

“Organic food in China: the law behind lüse shipin and youji shipin” (2017 – Geoprogress Journal) 

He is also a feature writer for various Italian newspapers on the subject of IT law and data protection. 

He has fair programming skills and is a frequent speaker on the subject of telematic judicial proceduresdata protection, artificial intelligence, Chinese law. 

He is fluent in Italian and English and has obtained HSK III certification of Chinese language.
