Cristobal Porzio specialises in Intellectual and Industrial Property, Distribution law and Franchising Corporate. He advises local and foreign clients in matters related to patents, trademarks and technology transfer. He also practices in the areas of distribution and franchises. Cristobal participates in the board of directors of companies and he acts as local counsel for foreign companies in Chile.
Cristobal is partner (since 2002) at Porzio, Ríos & Asociados, Santiago, Chile.
Cristobal graduated in Law at the Catholic University of Chile in Santiago in 1993. He attended a specialized course in Intellectual Property at Franklin Pierce University in Concord, New Hampshire, USA, in 1996. He did the professional practice at the law firm of Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear in Newport Beach, California.
Cristobal is Professor at the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, President of the Board of the Chilean Association of Intellectual Property (ACHIPI), Chilean Expert for IDI (International Distribution Institute), and Member of Honour of the AIJA (Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats). He is also a member of the Chilean Bar Association, AIPPI, AIPLA and INTA.
